Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Associate Architect to join a growing team in Chester and play a key role in the continued development of the office.

This position would suit an ambitious Architect looking to take the next step in their career, whether that's progressing from Senior Architect into an Associate-level role or building on existing Associate experience within a collaborative and growing environment. You'll lead projects across a diverse range of sectors, working through all RIBA stages while helping shape the future growth of the Chester office.

The Role

Joining an established multidisciplinary consultancy that has been operating for over 60 years, you'll work alongside colleagues across Architecture, Building Surveying, Town Planning and Principal Designer disciplines to deliver projects throughout the UK.

Working across sectors including education, commercial, institutional and leisure, you will be responsible for leading projects from concept through to completion, coordinating clients, consultants and project teams while ensuring high standards of both design and technical delivery.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the Chester office, developing client relationships, supporting business development activities and helping strengthen the office's presence within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects through all RIBA stages
  • Manage and coordinate clients, consultants and project stakeholders
  • Support both the design and technical delivery of projects
  • Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and project information
  • Present design proposals and technical solutions to clients and project teams
  • Attend client meetings and site visits throughout project delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered to agreed programmes, budgets and quality standards
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Chester office
  • Support business development activities and client relationship management
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Architecture, Building Surveying, Town Planning and Principal Designer teams

About You

To be considered for this role, you will be a qualified Architect with a minimum of 5 years' post-Part III experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects across multiple sectors.

You will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage projects from concept through to completion. Equally important is the ambition to play an active role in the development of a growing office and contribute to its long-term success.

Requirements

  • Qualified Architect with a minimum of 5 years' post-Part III experience
  • Strong experience across all RIBA stages
  • Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Strong Revit proficiency with proven project experience
  • Experience coordinating clients, consultants and project teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ambitious, proactive and commercially aware
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment

What's On Offer

  • £55,000 - £70,000 DOE
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working scheme
  • Generous maternity and paternity pay
  • Professional qualification and development support
  • Pension scheme
  • Long service awards
  • On-site parking
  • Opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the Chester office
  • Clear long-term career progression within a growing multidisciplinary consultancy

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Architect seeking a route into Associate level, or an existing Associate Architect looking to take on a more influential role within a growing office and help shape its future success.
